On October 31, DSU Residence Life held its first annual Trunk or Treat Festival. The event went from 4:00-5:30p.m., and was held in the United Methodist Church parking lot. Many locals gathered around to either pass out candy or get their own candy fix in.

For many families, Trunk or Treat was a great way to bond and create memories with those they love, including Madison local and DSU Professor, William Sewell who said, “it’s a great opportunity for younger kids to meet some of the Dakota State students. It’s also nice for the younger kids because there isn’t a lot of walking around. They can come in and get enough candy to be satisfied without walking around in the cold for long periods of time”.

For anyone who missed Trunk or Treat this year, don’t worry, there is always next year! Whether your helping, or just there to trick or treat, there isn’t a better opportunity to get involved in the community, check out all the cool, creative costumes, and of course, get enough candy to help you survive the rest of the semester.
