This past Saturday the lady Trojans took on Mayville State. This was their second game of the year and they lost with a score of 87-62. This dropped their overall record to 1-1 going into Tuesday night’s game.

Julie Muson played well against Mount Marty.

Tuesday night the girl’s basketball team travel led to Mount Marty to take on the lancers.  The girl’s team lost with a score of 70-49. This loss dropped them down to 1-2 overall.  In the first 14 minutes of the game Mount Marty and DSU traded lead four times. DSU took a one-point lead right before halftime but the Lancers went on a 14-4 run putting them up 36-27 at halftime. In the second half, the Trojans failed to regain the lead or even come within seven points of the Lancers.

Courtney Hamblin scored 12 points for the Lady T's Tuesday night.

Julie Munson and Courtney Hamblin both scored 12 points for Dakota State.  Kylie Westover had nine points and eight rebounds. Sharee Galbraith had six points and 10 rebounds. Jayda Swenson had six points and six rebounds off the bench for the Lady Trojans.  Dakota State will return home on Friday afternoon to start a two game home stand. The Lady T’s takes on York (Neb.) at 2 p.m. at the DSU Field House.
