Lady T’s Struggle Against DWU

Tuesday night the Dakota State women’s team took on Dakota Wesleyan.  DW had a strong first half and the Lady T’s could not recover from it, losing with a score of 76-65. This was the girl’s teams fourth straight loss in a row which dropped them down to 1-4 overall.

About halfway through the first half the score was tied, when DW went on a huge 16-0 to open their lead early. DSU went on a small run of their own, chipping the lead down to 35-27 at halftime.

In the second half the Trojans were cold shooting the ball missing the first 7 shots of the game. DW capitalized off this and extended the lead to 42-27. After they grabbed the lead the Trojans were not able to come within six points of the tiger the rest of the game.

Julie Munson had 23 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Kylie Westover added a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Cassie Jacobsen had 13 points and six rebounds. Sharee Galbraith led the team with 11 rebounds.

Dakota State looks to end their winning drought as they travel to North Dakota to take on Trinity Bible on Saturday. Tip off is set for 4 p.m.

I am a very funny person, I like long walks on the beach. Picnics with girls are a very good time. Sometimes I like to play xbox for 6 hours straight without blinking. In my spare time I like writing poems about economic expansion in Micronesia. Sometimes people ask me, Carl how do you do it?....and I say, "Shut up; I ask the questions around here."
