Love Note: My Love for Richardson Hall

When thinking about what I loved most about Dakota State University, I had a hard time pinpointing what it was I was going to write about. I kept coming back to my freshman year and how much fun I had with the people I met. All of a sudden, things became clear to me: The thing I loved most about DSU was Richardson Hall.

Strange as it may sound, Richardson Hall holds some of my favorite college memories. I am not sure what it is like to live there today, but back in my day it was quit the place to live. Strange smells, weird noises, and crazy people all made for an exciting first two years at DSU. It was an experience I am glad I had.

Richardson Hall was where I first met some of the great people that I still consider to be my good friends today. We had our own little community on the second floor and life was good. There was never a dull moment; somebody was always ready to hangout at a moment’s notice. You just had to walk out into the hall and see who had their door open. It made my college experience a whole lot less stressful and a whole lot more fun.

My love for Richardson Hall is a product of many things. While I was living in Richardson, I felt freedom and I got to know a lot of awesome people. The memories we all created together are something that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. For those reason, I love Richardson Hall!
