PBL Presents: Sweetheart Raffle Winners

By Andrew Van Demark

Dakota State University’s Phi Beta Lambda business club hosted their annual Sweetheart Raffle for the students during the first two weeks of February. The raffle was to help raise money for PBL’s State Leadership Conference at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. PBL set up in the Trojan Center Spectrum Lounge daily selling raffle tickets as well as going through the resident halls. Many businesses in the Madison community donated different prizes to the raffle fundraiser. PBL members were very active and played a significant role in helping out with the fundraiser by contacting businesses for donations, promoting the event, raising awareness on campus, selling raffle tickets, and going through the resident halls.

1. PBL Vice-President Tara Krause won the top prize package the “Romantic Night on the Town,” which included a free night at the American Inn suite, a $25 gift card to Skippers, 2 movie tickets to the West Twin Theatre, and a chocolate chip cookie from Classic Corner.
