DSU’s Esports club hosted their first primer event on Aug 30 in the Trojan Center, and it went quite well with a large number of people.

Their President, Dominic Sharma, created this event with hopes of bringing more attention to the club and Esports in general. They had a variety of games and tournaments, Like Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., and Dragonball FighterZ. They even brought attention to their brand new Esports team for Halo 5 which garnered massive attention, almost having constant use. Some of the tournaments that happened during the event was League of Legends, Overwatch, and Hearthstone.

To join in the fun and games, the Gaming club hosted their own rock, paper, scissors tournament with many of the Esports members participating. After seeing the success, Dominic plans to have a Primer for every month of the school year so students can have some time to relax in between papers and project.
