With cooler temps setting in, I’m starting to realize a few things. First of all, as I’ve said before, I love the cooler months. Second, my wardrobe loves the cooler months. Bring on the boots and sweaters, I’m ready! Finally, I’m realizing that my workout routine does not care for these cooler temperatures. It is the most difficult thing in the world to reason with myself to get out there and run when it’s freezing, and it’s only going to get colder. This is why I’ve been shopping for some cool weather workout gear. Here are some of my finds:
Pants
Women’s Adidas by Stella McCartney Studio Performance Three-Quarter Tights (Adidas – $100) – These have officially been added to my wish list. The Stella logo down either side makes these tights super cute. Functional pockets add to the appeal. These are also available in black.
C9 by Champion Women’s Premium Knee Tight (Target – $32) – These are some of my favorite tights. In fact, I have a couple pairs of these. They’re super comfortable, making it easier to talk yourself into those longer runs.

Shoes
A good pair of shoes is key to a good run. True runners will fight you on what is considered a good shoe. However, I believe it’s more important for you to find a shoe that’s comfortable for you. I know runners who wouldn’t be caught dead doing mileage in Nikes. Personally, that’s all I’ve ever worn. While I love my Nikes, I do understand that brands such as Saucony, Mizuno, and of course Asics have a better reputation as a running shoe. Let’s not forget another important aspect though. They have to look good, right?
Nike Lunar Eclipse (Eastbay – $129.99) – These light weight performance shoes are super cute and good for some light mileage runs. Custom heel fit, cushioning, and premium three-layer sockliner give these shoes added support and a comfortable fit. These are also available in blue. http://www.eastbay.com/product/model:143565/sku:08580100/nike-lunareclipse-+-womens/white/grey/?cm=GLOBAL%20SEARCH%3A%20KEYWORD%20SEARCH
Saucony Women’s ProGrid Kinvara 2 (Saucony – $90)
These are a great training shoe from a reputable brand. The Kinvara 2 are super light and have a flexible midsole. Breathable material make for a comfortable fit.
