Getting Tricksy: New New Tricks at DSU
Every year students at Dakota State University collaborate with Sigma Tau Delta to produce a literary magazine filled with student and faculty works. The magazine, New Tricks, was first created over twenty years ago by a group of people who had the desire give their fellow DSU community members the opportunity to have their works published. Since its creation, New Tricks has grown alongside the university and expanded its tradition of publishing student, faculty, and staff works online at http://new-tricks.org.
DSU community members can submit their compositions, artwork, audio files, and video footage to New Tricks for publication. The deadline for submissions is April 9th, 2013. Email all submissions either directly to [email protected] or [email protected]. Please, attach a Word document that includes a short biography of yourself with all submissions.
All compositions must be submitted in a single Word document. This includes poems, fiction, and non-fiction.
All artwork must be submitted as JPG files. This includes photography, digital artwork, and physical artwork.
All audio files must be submitted in MP3 or OGG format.
All video files must be submitted as a WMV file uploaded to YouTube.
