The GAME & The MUSIC

DSU Vocal Music has teamed up with Game Design for a Fall concert/showcase on Sunday, 11/24 @ 6pm in the Dakota Prairie Playhouse Theater. The DSU Concert Choir will sing “Still Alive” from Portal, “Age of Oppression” from Skyrim, and “Escape from the City” from Sonic Adventure 2. Students from vocal classes will also perform their original song, “Men on the Hill”, as well as Bob Dylan’s “Masters of War”. We are also very excited to have Dr. Jeff Howard as our special guest. He will be talking about his new book, Game Magic: A Game Designer’s Guide to Constructing Magic Systems. We will also showcase the work of our video game design students. All of this was made possible by a suggestion from DSU Professor Scott Richardson, when last year he suggested we look at singing video game music.
