5 Things to do for Thanksgiving on Campus
Thanksgiving is a great holiday to come together with your friends and family. It’s a great way to show your appreciation for one another. With so many students heading home for the holidays, the campus feels empty. For those students who live too far away to go home, there may seem like there is nothing to do. Here is a list of things to help you stay busy if you’re stuck here on campus.
1. Go Home with Friends
This is great way to bond with some friends and get to know their families. Not to mention a great way to get a good home cooked meal.
2. Have a Friendsgiving in the Dorms
Get a group of students together who are all staying on campus for the holidays. Take advantage of the open kitchen and cook up a big feast.
3. Movie Marathon
Have a Christmas movie marathon. Put on your PJs and get comfy on the couch. ABC and Hallmark usually has movies on all Thanksgiving Day.
4. Football
A Thanksgiving favorite for many is football. Bring out some chips and dip, throw on your jersey, and enjoy the game.
5. Go Black Friday Shopping
Sioux Falls is a great place to go if you want some good deals. Make sure to bring a friend. Things can get crazy.
So, if you’re stuck at the dorms for the holiday, there’s no need to fear. Try one of these things on the list. You may end up meeting new friends, forming deeper bonds with your secondary family, and creating some great Thanksgiving memories of your own.
