Career and Internship Fair – Spring 2026
The Dakota Prairie Playhouse was alive with energy on February 4th as DSU students, dressed in their best and armed with freshly printed resumes, made their way through the doors for the Spring Career & Internship Fair. Inside, 45 employers had set up their stalls, each with representatives eager to meet the next generation of talent. Among them were notable names like Pinnacle Production, Eide Bailly, Citibank, and Furniture Mart, a diverse mix that gave students a wide range of industries to explore. Conversations flowed freely as students moved from table to table, asking questions, sharing their goals, and learning about what different companies had to offer.
The turnout was impressive. Nearly 300 students showed up to engage with industry leaders, making the Playhouse feel every bit as lively as one might hope. For first-year students, it was an eye-opening introduction to the professional world. It was a first real glimpse at what the hiring process looks like up close. For seniors, the stakes felt higher, and the conversations more pointed, with many looking to turn a handshake into an offer. Several students could be seen lingering at the Eide Bailly and Citibank stalls, drawn in by the internship and full-time opportunities both companies had on the table.

The atmosphere throughout the event was one of genuine connection. Students and employers alike seemed invested in making the most of the afternoon. At the Pinnacle Production booth, conversations about creative and technical roles drew a steady crowd, while Furniture Mart’s presence offered students a look into the retail and business management side of the industry. Business cards were exchanged, elevator pitches were delivered, and more than a few students walked away with follow-up meetings already on the calendar.
On the whole, the Spring Career & Internship Fair was a meaningful success. DSU once again created a space where ambition could meet opportunity, and students were grateful for it. As the Playhouse emptied out and the last resumes found their way into recruiters’ folders, one thing was clear: the connections made that day were only the beginning.
