Take me Home, Bumpy Roads

By Anna Vonkeman, inspired by John Denver

Almost heaven, being Trojans
Very small town, but we have Lake Herman
Profs are old here, older than the trees
Students run to classes, hoods up in the breeze

Bumpy roads, take me home
To the place geeks belong
DSU, Trojan Blue

Take me home, bumpy roads

All my memories gather ’round here
No need to drive because DQ is so near
Ghosts in Beadle, snow clouds in the sky
Bland taste of Sodexo, teardrop in my eye

Bumpy roads, take me home
To the place I belong
DSU, Trojan blue,
Take me home, bumpy roads

I hear my alarm clock in the mornin’ hour, it calls me
My small dorm room reminds me of my home far away
Wakin’ past the Queue, I get a feelin’
That I missed a big test yesterday, yesterday

Bumpy roads, take me home
To the place I belong
DSU, Trojan Blue
Take me home, bumpy roads

Bumpy roads, take me home
To the place I belong
DSU, Trojan Blue
Take me home, bumpy roads

Take me home, (down) bumpy roads
Take me home, (down) bumpy roads
